The RICHI complete wood pellet line has fully automated equipment. It can turn a variety of waste into clean energy pellets with different sizes, ranging from 4mm to 12mm in diameter. The RICHI wood pellet production line can process various wood raw materials with different shapes and water content. The following are some specific raw material types.
Logs
The diameter of logs is usually large. They can’t be pelleted directly. The Drum chipper will help them form thin slices of about 3mm for further processing, covering crushing, drying, pelleting, cooling, and packaging.
Wood chips
If your raw materials are wood chips, they will not need to go through the chipping process. The SFSP water droplet pulverizer will directly crush the sliced wood chips into sawdust with 3-5 mm in diameter for drying and pelleting.
Sawdust
If the water content of your sawdust is maintained between 15% and 18%, it can be granulated directly. If the water content is too high, the sawdust must be dried before pelleting.

Wood Pellet Production Line
The RICHI wood pellet prodcessing line is a complete granulation production line. The detailed production process is as follows: crushing, drying, pelleting, cooling, screening, and packaging.
Crushing System
The wood, especially logs and thick wood chips, will be sliced into thin pieces. The SFSP water droplet crusher will then crush the sliced wood chips into smaller chips with 3-5mm in diameter. They are the optimum size for pelleting.

Drying System
Freshly formed wood chips always have a high humidity. They must be sent to the rotary drum dryer to reduce the water content to a level of around 15%. Then the dried chips will be sent to granulation chamber by U-shaped screw conveyor.

Pelleting System
When the dried chips enter the granulator, they need to go through a homogenizing process to ensure uniform water content. Then the sawdust will form dense pellets under the high-pressure extrusion of the ring die and rollers.

Cooling System
After pelleting, the formed wood pellets always have a high temperature. They must be conveyed to the counterflow cooler to reduce the temperature to a suitable level for bagging.

Screening System
After cooling, the machine will filter the finished wood pellets to ensure uniform pellet size. Whether the pellets are oversized or undersized, they will be returned for reprocessing.

Packaging System
The finished pellets are then sent for packaging. The electronic packing scale controlled by a microcomputer can automatically weigh the package. After weighing, the material will be conveyed for sealing and labeling.
